Accelerated Healing: Helion can recover from wounds at a vastly accelerated rate -- she would need to be cleanly decapitated in order to be outright killed. |
| Grant Temporary Invulnerability: Another being can be granted accelerated healing to the point of invulnerability for up to a week if Helion sheds tears over them, caused by real distress or sorrow. The tears can not bring the dead back to life, but can bring a back to health a being who is near the brink of death. |
| Immortality: Helion has the ability to live forever, though every one hundred years she must return to her birth-place to be reborn on a nest of branches gathered for a specific kind of tree. If she does not perform this ritual pyre building and self-immolation, she will die permanently. |

For all that Helion is a powerful creature, a fusion of two very powerful creatures of myth, she certainly doesn't act as though she has many responsibilities. She is playful and ever optimistic, setting aside the horror and pain of some of the worse things she's seen in order to revel in life's little happy moments. She gravitates towards those who are adventurous and head-strong, often playing the foil towards stoic and brave or arrogant and prideful people. Helion will often try to teach those she settles her sights on a lesson they won't soon forget, though she's hardly vengeful or sadistic! She just likes to see balance in the world, whether that be by teaching a waif to have confidence in herself in order to become an influential politician as she grows, or to see an overly ambitious politician learn to appreciate life as a waif!
Once in a while, Helion will take in entire villages in the same way that she singles out individuals. This is part of the reason that she has decided to settle in Nidus Corona for a while: she wants to see how the Nidus weathers its first few years. She's also rather fond of some of the people and dragons living here, and is willing to provide help to those who need it.
