Many Life and Holy-based spells and abilities, as well as a goodly number of necromantic and demononic spells. Fin is a master at banishing the dead back to death, and retrieving the near-dead back to life without the nasty side effects of ghoulism. |
| Appearance: |
Fin' is a Miscelem Elemental, which, aside from his general reptillian appearance, puts him into the same category as horses and other mounts in the minds of people unfamiliar with his species. He stands on strong, ostrich-like hind-legs, and can use his forelimbs for manipulating his environment or for walking. His head is shaped like that of an Iguanodon's, save for the long, whisker-like scales at his chin and atop his head. His entire body is covered with stormy blue scales, and while most of them are fairly small, those along his back, shoulders and thighs are much larger and darker in colour. He has small, black eyes set wide on his head that, although you might not think it, catch a lot more around him then he lets on. He usually is draped in white robes, and has had gold filigree embedded with precious gemstones, worked into the scales on his hands and up his arms. While he carries a gold staff to help focus and magnify his magic, he is also proficient with the iron-tipped, obsidian spear that works opposite the staff.

Fin' is nothing if not a zen-master of life-magic. He's been around for a long time, and has seen enough of the life and death to understand how they work. He is a scholar, a mage, and a priest, wandering and performing selfless acts on a regular basis in his earlier years. He has no love for the undead and demonic, but he does have a healthy respect for them.
He's an old creature, but surprisingly active; active enough to keep up with acolytes like his previous charge, Jascadei Jariane, and his current charge (not to mention bond!) Niteo Ramaya. He's of the belief that if he finds good talent, on any planet and in any species, he's willing to train that as far as his charge is willing to learn. There can never be too many good-aligned life-magic users out there, after all!
Fin and Niteo have actually wandered into the job of Decurio (Weyrlingmaster) for just that reason: Fin is willing to teach, and is so widely versed in so many different cultures and ways of being. He of course likes to put a spin on morals and values so that those who graduate from his tutelage have a healthy respect for the interconnectivity of life, but nobody at Nidus Ryslen begrudges him that.

While he likes to put on mysterious airs, Niteo is generally self-confident and a little showy. He can be a daredevil and a bit of a flirt, but he's not all bad. He's very serious about his training with Finatrevaillent, and has a healthy respect for the old man's religions and teachings. He's had a lot of fun, too, and managed to kick demonic ass for several years without any grievous injury. For now, he's taking a break from the traveling, along with his bond, and is settled at Nidus Corona. As a Decurio, he is responsible for teaching dragonets of various breeds what they need in order to reach their full potential. In addition to this, he has been called on often to help young shifters understand how to transform into their human form, or into other forms, should they possess the ability to do so! The job is not nearly as eloquent as it sounds, though he manages to keep youngsters engaged through his charm and his many stories of epic battles!
