A short and lithe man, Dardrin is naturally very dextrous, with fingers as nimble as the best pocket thief. He's a very pale man--pale skin, pale blue eyes pale blonde hair, and he tends to dress in pale colours, as well. Many might take him for some peculiar priest or clergyman, given how cheerful and harmless he looks, and on both counts they would be wrong. Dardrin may look like a happy, useless fellow, and perhaps he might dislike fighting or conflict in general, but he makes an awesome pickpocket, and his innocent appearance tends to foil the anger of others.

As stated above, Dardrin is a pacifist at heart. He avoids conflict wherever and whenever he can, preferring a more underhanded way of aquiring funds, considering he rarely stays in one place long enough for a decent-paying job. His bond, on the other hand, tends to be a careless freeloader who openly mooches off of others, which makes life difficult. Because of their antics, and Deswin's inclination to straighten the two of them out, the two have joined the ranks of the Construction ala -- that is, cutting down trees, hauling rocks, and otherwise making a honest living. Neither of the two males really like their line of work these days, but nobody in the Nidus trusts them with other jobs. It's hard to gain back trust, being a known filcher and freeloader!

| Summon Ice Elemental: Varad can stir to life a semi-intelligent, ice-based servitor to do his bidding. The warmer the environment, the more difficult to summon the elemental, and the shorter a length of time the elemental will survive. Anywhere below freezing, Varad has ease, but up to body temperature things begin to get very difficult. |

A freeloader at heart, Varad is carefree and lives in the moment. He lives off of the kindness of strangers and when that kindness runs out, he's always moved on to the next green pasture. He has an endearing nature that makes it hard to say no (at least for a little while) and makes his tactics for survival surprisingly successful.
Of course, having arrived at the Nidus was a bad move, for he and Dardrin were outed for what they really were almost immediately. Now the two are forced to work manual labor, and few people are willing to trust the two long enough to make friends with them. Being unable to simply teleport away, they are very likely stuck here for good or for ill. Deswin, Varad's bond, is inclined to allow them to stay this way until they learn to live like honest folk.

Deswin is a little stickler, and she likes to go by the rules. She is in no way random, and keeps a strict schedule for herself. She is highly reliable, and she is one to stand her ground, stubborn as she is.
Deswin actually bonded Varad Mansiq on a dare, and found to her horror that the bond was impossible to sever. A daddy's girl before this point, Deswin was mortified to realize that Varad (and Dardrin, by extension) had a personality and lifestyle so against her own. She tagged along with the pair for some time as they wandered from place to place, always the conscience to their schemes. Once the opportunity to move to the Nidus presented itself, Deswin leaped on the chance to pin them in a more honest lifestyle. She enjoys the frontier atmosphere of the Nidus, of working with one another and trusting one another. She is relatively smug that her bond and his rider have been made to live and work in trust of others, as well.
