Cubra has coppery tanned skin along with dark hair and darker eyes. She is if average height and weight, preferring mundane clothes to those with flair. Her nose is a little large for her otherwise delicate face, but Cubra is fairly well symmetrical in appearance, and so many think that she is pretty, or at least charming. Her sober expression seems to give her a reserved and regal appearance.

Cubra is an odd woman, not possessing a lot in the way of emotions, herself. She appears to reign those in, however in truth it may just be that she's unable to express anything, even to herself. On the other hand, she has an empathic ability with others, and the quality of her observational skills is superb. Because she is never noisy or extravagant, her interactions can be deemed subtle... Cubra has managed to play match-maker, for example, without anyone seeming to realize that she was the one who initiated all of the meetings and set things running in the right direction. Sometimes she can be a little disconcerting to be around, given that she entirely lacks a motherly (or sisterly) familiarity that often goes together with knowing about people so well... but to those who get past that, she is a very loyal friend.

An inscrutable sort of dragoness, Zarzirath allows nothing to slip her keen eyes and gives away nothing to others. She is quiet, even to other dragons, which is something that non-Pernese members of the Nidus might find a little disconcerting. When they first meet Zarzirath, pre-formed ideas about Golds being the big, brassy leaders with big voices falls away. Zarzirath seems to be able to inspire a kind of awe in lower ranking Pernese dragons, perhaps because of the fact that she rarely speaks. Whatever the matter, most Pernese dragons that meet her tend to fall in line quickly and bring her new information without even having to be asked. Zarzirath seems like the kind of dragoness who would be quite fierce if the occasion merited -- and Dark Gold Cwynnanth tries to provoke this all the time. Zarzirath has a supreme level of control on her temper, however, and uses the Hydra's goading as ammo for the occasional utterly scathing and dismissive verbal smack down. Zarzirath and Cubra have garnered a lot of respect for their odd but ultimately admirable level of self control.
